Since 1949, Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc.’s mission is to enhance the economic, educational, and spiritual growth, through excellence in early learning care and services, for women, children, and families. 

Temporary Closing

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. and The Lady Bamford Child Care Center are closed until further notice, to help prevent the spread of the Coronavirus. During this closing period, staff are in constant communication with our parents to make sure their needs are being met with food, and other essentials. If there is a need, staff will assist our parents and their children during this time. Learning sessions and other activities for children ages 0 – 4, will be posted on Wesley’s Facebook page, our website, and other social media outlets daily.

Summer Camp 2020 Update

All camp slots for ages 6 – 12 years of age are currently filled. If you would like to be put on a waiting list, please bring a completed application to the Wesley administrative office, 1601 Drayton Street, Savannah, GA 31401. No registration fees will be due unless a slot opens up for your child.

Slots are still available for children 5 years of age and entering Kindergarten for the 2020/2021 school year. Completed applications for this group must be brought to The Lady Bamford Center, 1410 Richards Street, Savannah, GA 31405. A $25 nonrefundable registration fee is due when the application is turned in.

Pre-K Applications

Pre-K applications for the 2020/2021 school year will be available beginning Tuesday, February 18, 2020. 
To be eligible to attend a Georgia lottery funded Pre-K program your child(ren) must be four years of age on or before September 1, 2020.

Applications will be available from February 18, 2020 – March 4, 2020 at these locations:

Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. (1601 Drayton Street, Savannah, GA 31401) and The 
Lady Bamford Early Childhood Learning Center (1410 Richards Street, Savannah, GA 31415)

All applications must be submitted no later than Wednesday, March 4, 2020.

Financial contributions are urgently needed. All donations are tax deductible and will be used to support Wesley's mission of serving those in need.

Just $12 a month can provide: Toothbrushes and toothpaste for children in our Early Childhood Education and Development Centers. Our teachers assist children with brushing their teeth after lunch. When funds are available teachers also give toothbrushes and toothpaste to children in need for use at home.

You may also have the opportunity to sponsor up to 60 campers in our Youth Arts Program to attend a field trip to a restaurant that represents the weekly cultural themes.

Want your church to be a GEM?

United Methodist Churches: As a GEM, your church will send a pre-selected amount each month to the South Georgia Conference (as a Conference Advance Special donation for Wesley) so that Wesley can continue to provide services to more than 4,000 families each year.
All Other Church Denominations: Add Wesley to your yearly budget and send in a pre-selected amount on a schedule that works for your church (monthly, quarterly). Write "GEM" in the memo section.
