Day Shelter Opens

On Monday, September 19, 2005 Wesley's Women's Center opened a day shelter for women and children in need of day time services. Women will gain valuable information through the first empower series that covers Career Education (how to write a resume, where to seek employment, going on that first interview, how to dress for that interview, etc.). We will be providing a light lunch for the women during their time here. We need your help to spread the word about women coming here, and also to see if any women's circles or individuals would like to provide lunch one day for the women. We are talking soup sandwiches and foods in that category. If a group does not have the time to prepare a lunch, we are also accepting food donations or grocery store gift cards to purchase food, so that the women can prepare the meals for themselves in our newly decorated kitchen.
