Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. Celebrates Giving Tuesday, joining millions around the world participating in the global generosity movement on November 28, 2023. 

This Giving Tuesday, Wesley Community Centers of Savannah, Inc. would appreciate your generosity by supporting the children we will serve in our Multi-cultural Summer Camp for 2024. 

Giving Tuesday is a global generosity movement, unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and their world. Giving Tuesday will kick off the generosity season this year by inspiring people to give back on November 28, 2023, and throughout the year. 

Funds giving during Giving Tuesday will allow our 2024 Multi-Cultural Summer Camp participants to experience a wonderful “End- of- Camp” event, which culminates a wide range of experiences they will learn during the camp. This experience will include cultural foods, interactive cultural fun, and fieldtrips. In addition, this camp is rich-literacy focused. 

Giving Tuesday was launched in 2012 as a simple idea: to create a day that encourages people to do good. Over the past eleven years, this idea has grown into a global movement that inspires hundreds of millions of people to give, collaborate, and celebrate generosity. 

People demonstrate generosity in many ways on Giving Tuesday. Whether it’s helping a neighbor or stranger out, showing up for an issue or people we care about, or giving to causes we care about, every act of generosity counts. Giving Tuesday has raised billions of dollars for critical causes around the world and gets billions of impressions on social media from people and organizations speaking up for the causes that matter to them and encouraging others to get involved in their communities.

Just $12 a month can provide: Toothbrushes and toothpaste for children in our Early Childhood Education and Development Centers. Our teachers assist children with brushing their teeth after lunch. When funds are available teachers also give toothbrushes and toothpaste to children in need for use at home.

You may also have the opportunity to sponsor up to 60 campers in our Youth Arts Program to attend a field trip to a restaurant that represents the weekly cultural themes.
